ABOUT ME: Emily from Emily and Indiana

I’m Emily, and I’m mama to three little ones aged 4 and under! We live in West Kent, and love nothing more than going on adventures, snuggling at home and spending quality time as a family.

I’m a 20-something mama to three little ones. Indiana aged 4, Parker aged 2 and newborn Lilah, who was born in January 2018. We live in West Kent, and you can usually find us exploring  National Trust properties, enjoying movie days at home, or drinking too many hot chocolates at our local Costa.

I blog at over Emily and Indiana, which I started while on maternity leave back in 2014. It was somewhere to document life as a first time mum and all those baby milestones. Over the years it has grown to include not only our newest family members, but all of our ups and downs too.

I’m so excited to be a Summer Mama, so I can share my knowledge and experiences that I’ve learnt throughout my motherhood journey. I’m also excited to share products that I’ve loved, and give my honest opinions on products too!

I’m really looking forward to being a Summer Mama this year as it’s been a few years since I’ve experience the baby / early years and so much has changed. I’m looking forward to seeing the latest products and finding out how they can help with family life with a baby.

What 3 words come to mind when you think of your family?

What 3 words come to mind when you think of your family?

What one piece of advice would you give to mums and dads out there?

Don’t listen to everyone else’s advice! When you become a parent, you’ll find EVERYONE has an opinion, and advice that they cannot wait to share. It can be quite confusing to work out what to actually follow – but I’ve always found you just work it out for yourself. Mum / Dad really do know best at the end of the day!

What is the funniest thing that has happened to you since having your baby/being pregnant?

We thought we escaped an ‘poo related’ incidents, but I don’t think anything every prepared me for when my two year old Parker pooped in the bath! Indiana was screaming in disgust, Parker was giggling, I ran away to hide, and my poor husband had to fish it out with their toy fishing net… It’s safe to say they never played with that toy again!

What do you like to do when you have some “me-time”?

I love nothing more than a bubble bath – preferably with a Lush bath bomb too – and either a good book, or some Netflix to enjoy as well. Bliss!

Are there any blogs or websites that you read regularly?

Being a blogger there are SO many blogs that I like to keep up to date with, especially pregnancy blogs at the moment, for obvious reasons!
