I’m Lyndsay – cyber geek by day, blogger by night, dog lover and tea drinker in-between. I live in a little seaside house just outside of Brighton with my other half Vanessa and our gorgeous puppy-dog Robbie. Together we are expecting our first child, a baby girl, who we have nicknamed ‘Baby Peaches’ in February 2017.

We finally conceived last year after a long journey through IVF, so we cannot wait to meet our little one and finally become a family! I write Fizzy Peaches Blog, which started as a lifestyle and travel blog but is evolving with our lives into the world of pregnancy and parenting. I can’t wait to be a Summer Mama, as I’m a brand new Mum, I’ll be learning all the way and share my journey and experiences with you all.lyndsay-fizzy-peaches-summer-mama

What 3 words come to mind when you think of your family?

Unique, Loving, Loyal

What one piece of advice would you give to mums and dads out there?

Try to relax as much as you can whilst you are pregnant, I know you are feeling big, uncomfortable and it doesn’t seem easy, but your body and baby will thank you for it. Also, don’t stress every time you feel a new symptom, most of us have been there and felt the same – just talk to other Mum’s, they will put your mind at rest, avoid Google!

What is the funniest thing that has happened to you since having your baby/being pregnant?

I have been suffering with ‘baby brain’ the whole of my pregnancy – some of my highlights have been throwing a cup of dog food into the washing machine, making a coffee straight onto the kitchen worktop (forgot the mug!) and leaving the house and getting into the car, only to forget where I’m going. I’ve heard it doesn’t get any better once the baby is here, so it looks like this is how I’ll be for a long while!

What do you like to do when you have some “me-time”?

I love a long, hot bath with a book, some lovely bubble bath and a cup of tea – heaven!

Are there any blogs or websites that you read regularly?

I read blogs and watch vlogs every day, they are so great for getting advice and tips, especially for a first time Mum like me. I love Belle Du Brighton, Lived with Love, Love Maisie and on Youtube, Mrs Meldrum and Charlotte Louise Taylor. As for websites, throughout pregnancy I’ve lived on Babycentre – they have some great articles and advice.
